998hihi Teen Patti — Most Popular Card Game in Malaysia
Teen Patti is a three-card game rooted in South Asian tradition that has become a favourite among many Malaysian players. At 998hihi, you can enjoy a range of Teen Patti variations on live tables that run around the clock — no need to visit any physical casino.
What Is Teen Patti?
Teen Patti — which means "three cards" in Hindi and Urdu — is a card game played with a standard 52-card deck without jokers. Each player receives three cards, and the main objective is to hold the strongest hand combination against other players or against the dealer in the live version. The game has grown steadily across Asian communities and is now increasingly popular in Kuala Lumpur and throughout Malaysia, thanks to its availability on online platforms like 998hihi.
The game structure is straightforward yet strategic — players can choose to look at their cards (seen) or play blind, adding a layer of decision-making that keeps each round engaging.
At 998hihi, Teen Patti can be played in a live format with a real dealer, giving you an experience closer to sitting at a casino table. Multiple variations are available at all times, catering to different playing styles.
Hand Rankings in Teen Patti
Understand the hand rankings before you start playing. The higher your hand ranks, the better your chances of winning the round.
Trail / Trio
Three cards of the same value — the highest hand in Teen Patti. For example, three Aces or three Kings.
Pure Sequence
Three consecutive cards of the same suit. For example, 8, 9, 10 all in Hearts.
Sequence (Straight)
Three consecutive cards of different suits. A mixed combination that still carries high value.
Color (Flush)
Three cards of the same suit but not in sequence. The value is determined by the highest card in the hand.
Pair
Two cards of the same value and one different card. One of the most commonly seen combinations in regular rounds.
High Card
No special combination — the winner is determined by the highest card value. The most basic hand in the game.
